Who I am

I was born and raised in Kotzebue, Alaska - 35 miles above the Arctic Circle. From Kotzebue, I went to Seattle Pacific University where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Classical History. While this degree is incredibly interesting, it is sadly not in high demand. However, knowledge of ancient Greece, Rome, and Mesopotamia gave me a solid background for a Masters of Divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary, completed summer of 2004.

Following my time at seminary, I became an associate pastor of a small church in Southern California, and then a pastor of a parish in Puyallup, WA, which I enjoyed.  While this time in my life provided ample learning and growth opportunities, it also helped me to realize that my interests lie elsewhere. I am currently employed as a Systems Integration Administrator at Fuller Seminary.  Outside of technology I enjoy finances; I teach others how to manage and protect their finances, and help them acquire the proper products to do so (I'm licensed in Life and Long Term Care Insurance, and will soon receive my Series 6 Securities License).  Contact me via one of the social sites below if you want to discuss any of these options.
